Today UPS showed up with an canvas print that I had been wanting to print, but had put off until now. This is a 16x24 canvas print of a small brightly colored leaf. This leaf was on a volunteer tree that had grown up through a crepe myrtle that is planted next to my garage. The overall size of the actual leaf was only about 2-2.5 inches. This was taken in Mid-December, so everything else was brown, and died along before this red leaf showed up.
This was a test shot of a "new to me" lens. It was taken with a Tamron 90mm 2.8 macro lens. The lens is well known for it's Bokeh, or how it renders the out of focus parts of the image and its sharpness in general. The Bokeh is extremely smooth, while the leaf itself is very sharp. The above image of the print on the wall was taken with an iPhone, which lost a lot of the detail, so here is the same image from my website.
